Guess I m very normal like any other person... gets very excited to know about oneself...
A lot of us would have got the forward floating around having the meaning of our Names and the meaning for my name has always been ... worshiper of Lord Krishna....
Man I don't need an forward mail to tell me the meaning of my name...
My grannie is an adherent devotee of Lord Krishna and for that matter my dad's name is Krishnamurthy and he was born after Janmashtami (Lord Krishna's Bday)... See how things fall in place... I am the first girl baby in my family ( for my grannie in particular the first grand daughter).... So they named the daughter of Krishna (tat is how my dad is addressed at home) as Meera.
No worries I just love my name... NO second thoughts please.... The other day we (Puneet, Bhavin n Me... we 3 make a team in office) were just looking at the meaning of our Names... and I insisted that they don't search for the meaning of my name for I know what it means... But surprisingly Google god returned the search result and to my excitement the meaning that came up was....
Meera means Prosperous.... Wow... Isn't that really exciting to know the actual meaning of the Word Meera....
Very true .. I get real excited about small things in life...
So here is a PJ.... Next year I would wish my friends a very happy and Meera New Year... hehehe... I know I know that's indeed a PJ :-P ... but still I m sure to wish folks a Meera living... he he he..
I guess this one is a little vibrant post from me... ha ha ha... MY first PJ attempt in blogs:-)
Cheers,
Mira

My days in Office
I started the post below part of my Memorable Birthday and figured out this narration needs to be separate and I can't mix this with Bday 09 post... So did a Ctrl+C Ctrl+V...
Pulled from the Blog Bday 09:
During my school times I was so specific about having lots of friends around... This is pretty normal with everyone... While in College I was happy with a close group of 5 and the 6 of us made sure we have enough fun :-)....
After joining Infy, I don't as such remember having a bunch of friends around me... Definitely not during my training days.. I guess this is little ironical... Bcoz people who join infy would generally have a group to hang around while in training over any other time...While I was in Mysore, Bangalore I took my own sweet time to get acquaintances...
I have had some bitter experiences while in training and I stopped trusting my people in work place... I rather became too conscious and choosy to call someone as my friend...
But slowly with time I got a few good friends and a lot of acquaintances.. I started to have the regular going out for a coffee break with a group, having lunch with a big circle of people.... Bunking office and chatting in groups .... Say after close to an year; as a shocker I was suppose to get myself a transfer to Chennai and one of the first few things that made me uncomfortable was the fact that I had to move from a comfortable zone of friends to an unknown place...
I mean the whole process of getting good set of friends all the time with u is never an instant thing for me and to move out of my shell made me little too weary!!! But then, if I had resisted the move, I guess I wouldn't be blogging here about my friends in Chennai right:-)....
How true is the phrase 'All happens for Good'....OK! let me continue with my narration...
When I came to chennai I felt all alone and it was so depressing to chat with ur folks (ones in mys blr) over the messenger... I had this strange feeling of everyone around me being indifferent in nature (gosh! wat all I imagined)... First three months I was wandering like an alien with no one around... TRUST ME... absolutely no soul.. not even a bench mate, batch mate, bus mate, Lunch mate.... absolutely NONE....
Man seems like this is going to be a big narration... Sorry folks... I am not able to cut it short and jump to my bday this year... apologies...
Continuing from here:
Slowly I got to know very special people like Deepak, Jo,Shyamala, Vasanth, Arthi,Puneet, Mahima, Bhavin, Kats,Yoga.
It is so much of fun to be around this group.... Everytime we end up laughing loud and our dear project folks giving us stares:-)... Who really cares u see... its fun to get attention like this ;-)....
I never worked my way to know these people... Time made it so for me... We have one thing in common 'To enjoy the moment and spread cheer'... You can never find the above mentioned pals of mine fretting over things ... at least not always.... This group of friends are so tailor made for a person like me...
I never ever dream t to have these folks in my life... After a big disappointment of having No good friends in my training I decided that I would never get good friends in my office and my profession would have no good mix of friends ....Thankfully that is not the case... I have got more than I asked for.... We always find time for our self and get along like school buddies...
We laugh at everything we find... enjoy everyone's company.... Move as groups wherever it be...
Few memorable moments with these guys are:
Oh boy oh boy.... Wat a lovely set of people I m gifted with .... Loved every moment spend with these guys and I know we would continue to spread cheer as a group:-)
Probably this could be titled as 'an ode to my best buddies' in office
I m so happy about penning this here...
Take care... Cheers,
Mira

- Went out for Movies
- Sea Diving at Temple Bay ECR
- Countless Treats at Asiana, Fortune, Bassera, Delhi Dabba
- Weekly once having lunch outside the campus
- Wow.... Went to Beach.... probably this was the first one...
- Taking pics as a group (Uploaded in orkut) by the DSLR group
- Regular Coffee breaks.... where we rip laughing endlessly:-)

Bday 09 - Best till date :-)
I have been thinking about coming up with this blog for quite some time...
I guess everyone of us would have something to talk about when asked; 'Which has been your best birthday'... and I m no exception to it.... Without a second thought I would tell you right away that this year's birthday was the best and for so many reasons...
My birthday's have always been very special to me... I ensure that I have a memorable day.... As such there hasn't been A b day where I have left like I m missing the fun and celebration.. however this year's B day seems too special over so many others:-)
My dad surprised me with a BIG cake to cut... My little sis was busy the whole night wrapping gifts to be given.... My dear friends (college ones) had given the gifts thru one our friend in Infy... But then I was instructed to open them only by 12 o clock...
I get a little hyper when its my b day... I ensure folks remember my b day and say they forget.. Never mind...I call them n declare that its my b day:-)...
My patti had prepared sweets for me, I m not crazy about sweet but that's the way my Grannie expresses her love.. by preparing sweets on occasions like birthdays...
Every year every one in my family gifts me something but my mom doesn't really do tat.... But wat was special this year was... She had as well got a gift... N u know wat; .... It was a beautiful Silk Saree ... I was delightedly surprised....
31st is my B day and on 30 I got my OTS (On The Spot) and on 29th I gave my SCJP and secured 94%... Happiness was getting added as each day drew close to my birthday.
Since it was a Saturday it promised me to meet my friends and treat them... More importantly two of my best pals (Shyamala n Vasanth) were to go On site any time and I was actually praying that these guys were there in India for my Bday!!! And as it is destined to be my most memorable b'day, these guys were as well there for the treat....
My parents were leaving for a marriage that day and they got themselves dropped to the Station a little earlier so that I could take the car and meet my folks on time... That was such an humble gesture from my parents hinting how much they are part of my happiness....:-)
Had loads of fun in the treat and truly enjoyed every moment of it!! I was gifted with a lot things;-) and loved every one of it!!
I thought of narrating more on the treat but due to time crunch I am ending this post! Whether expressed less or more this birthday was indeed the most memorable one:-)
Cheers,
Mira!

My mother Tongue
Before I could begin writing this blog.. I would like to apologize to the fact that I never learned my mother tongue... I mean though I had tamil as a subject, it was only till 8th std.... And whatever I learned was very minimal and I never really gave attention to learn it...
So what's result of the same... I have never read a single story till date in Tamil.. Yes I m being honest; not even ONE... I don't even flip through Tamil magazines nor do I read the headlines on the newspapers....
I m not narrating here feeling guilty about this fact... but What is it I have found is a little shocking for myself...
The facts that I have understood or figured out recently are...
Edited:
Started this post with the intention of expressing how ignorant I have been about enjoying the beauty of tamil. I don't know to read (swiftly without hiccups) and write tamil and guess what; I m actually feeling happy for being honest about this... probably that's the least I could do...
Anyways I have promised myself to start picking with reading tamil novels (short ones) whenever I get a chance to... But I am not expecting myself to read all those famous ones ... all the Kurals, Noolkal (Novels)... I mean I am no good in understanding the literary part of it....
This just brings this little thought to my mind that; IGNORANT is not bliss all the times:-)
BTW if someone is reading this post, can you please help me in bringing up emoticons on my blog...
Stay glued for I would be back with more:-)
Cheers,
Mira!

- English is just a language and not way of life.
- Every literature has its own greatness and my mother tongue is no exception to it.
- People with great ideas matter or not the language in which they express.
- When u can appreciate the beauty of English then have the same instinct for your language as well
